Salmon, Angels, selling out, and a Dark Deal

Well, as we all may have noticed but the SCG Parody series is full of cutesy animals with big eyes and puffy cheeks that seem like they'd feel more at home in Cinderella than in a game about Wizards casting their Demonic Pacts and Dark Petitions, but finally they came out with something pretty cool looking...
'Deathrite Salmon' I mean, C'MON, I need this mat, I also still wanna get playset of Deathrite Shaman's, but that's besides the point...
So anyway, if you haven't been paying attention to Magic news, or you purely rely on me for your news you haven't seen the latest on the From the Vault: Angels! This is one box I might have to try to pick up 2 of just so I can crack one open because so far the cards look amazing. Tierese Neison is nothing short of an amazing artist....

I mean... Jesus. These are some lean mean fighting Angels.
They've also spoiled Avacyn, Angel of Hope but it's the same artwork. I have a feeling this set is going to be pretty amazing and with 4 of the 15 cards spoiled who knows what other Angels will be in the set.
So..... Selling out.
Raise your hand if you're going to go back on everything you've ever said, thought and think.

That's right, I know I've hated on Heroic decks in the past on numerous times, but I also said that it won. "It's the worst deck that ever won anything" I believe is what I have said in the past. The key part of that is that it won.
Through further testing of my 4 color burn brew I discovered as much gas as the deck had it was either amazing or just god awful. Heroic is a strategy that's been around for awhile, wins (SCG) tournaments and it's pretty reliable. It'd be better if the creatures had Hexproof, so they'd be more like Bogles, but you can't win every battle.
Right now I'm thinking about W/u with a very light splash of Red, and I'm playing with Monastery Swiftspear in the deck, but depending on if I can get the last couple of cards I need to keep it W/u will depend on what actually ends up going to the SCG Regional Championships next weekend. With me playing a confirmed good deck, I wonder if I'll be able to make a deep run and smash any G/R devo decks I come across, though really if I can just do better than I did at SCG Syracuse, I'll be pretty happy.
Hopefully come Monday I'll be able to check out what We Got Game has and be able to finish up my list, so I wont have to keep the red splash. Bant Heroic would be the way to go if I'm doing 3 colors, but.... eh.... 2 would be so much easier.
What else do we got?
Well, SCG Richmond is going on this weekend, though sadly I'm watching the rerun on Twitch right now because I spent my day doing things and driving to Gamer Craze to see what sort of cards they had that I needed.
Props to their system too, everything was cataloged and online and so easy to find, and William Barber was nothing short than a major help in helping me find my junky Commons / Uncommons that I needed for the worst deck that ever won anything.
Finally, we're going to look at something I've been brewing up and playing online "Sultai Fog" it takes away from the U/G Turbo Fog that was played last weekend, but I threw in a bunch of black stuff because the synergy with Dark Deal / Waste Not / Sphinx's Tutelage is nothing short than hilarious.

This is the sort of deal that I might even have to make a video to show the hilarious Hijinks that you can make with it.
