Here comes Origins!

Alright, we've had the past few weekends off from Magic coverage due to the 4th of July and the Pre-Release fun, but now this weekend will be the first constructed event with Origins being a legal set. There's already players trying to brew up ways to break cards like Demonic Pact, and it looks like Mono-Black Aggro, or White Devotion might be able to be a thing on the competitive scene. The deck I'm looking forward to seeing? U/R Thopters! Will Chandra's parents be part of the action? At that high of a CMC I'd say probably not, but there are some interesting cards out there that give you some thopters, and I've seen some home brewers brewing up what could amount to Affinity in Standard!
I know I can't wait till Saturdy when the SCG Open kicks off!
